Eton University Launches New PGCE Program to Help Shape the Future of Education

Eton University is pleased to announce the launch of a new PGCE program designed to help prepare aspiring educators for a successful career in the field of education.

The Professional Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) program is aimed at graduates who wish to pursue a career in teaching and is focused on providing them with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in the classroom. The program is designed to help students develop a deep understanding of the principles of education, including learning theory, curriculum design, and pedagogical strategies.

"The PGCE is an eye-opening programme into the world of teaching," said Dr. Rea Dujmusic, Vice-President of Eton University. "This program entails having a deeper knowledge of the purpose of education and the key essentials to turn educational theories into effective practice on the ground.”

The PGCE program at Eton University is structured as a 6 months, hybrid-learning, full-time course that consists of three modules. “I believe that this valuable study will put learners on track to develop their teaching skills and improve the quality of their work to cope with the contemporary change occurring in the educational industry." said Dr Rea. One of the program’s advantages is combining teaching practices with educational theories. The PGCE could be considered a gateway for new opportunities, for ambitious educators willing for teaching or administrative positions at international institutions.

The PGCE program at Eton University is open to graduates from a wide range of academic backgrounds, who have an experience in teaching, training or lecturing. Applications are now being accepted for the upcoming May 2023 intake. Contact our student advisors today for more information on the course.
